WorkZone

WorkZone is a multi-tenant, AI-powered HR management platform developed as part of the Software Engineering course at IIT Madras. Built to modernize and automate end-to-end HR workflows, WorkZone provides each organization with its own isolated, branded portal under a company-specific subdomain, enabling a fully scalable, white-label experience.

At its core, WorkZone is driven by a multimodal GenAI layer that powers every stage of the HR lifecycle. AI conducts first-round interviews through both audio and text modes, dynamically generates follow-up questions from resumes and job descriptions, ranks candidates with detailed feedback, and auto-generates HR documents using a Smart Document Generator. A RAG-based HR helpdesk chatbot resolves policy queries in real time, while a personalized Learning Path Generator recommends skill upgrades tailored to each employee's role. Every AI feature is designed to reduce manual overhead and enable faster, data-driven decisions at scale.

The platform is architected for production-grade scalability, deployed on GCP with async FastAPI, Celery task queues, Redis, vector search via ChromaDB, and Caddy as a reverse proxy, ensuring reliability and performance across multiple concurrent tenants.
